About the Venue

About the Venue

Historic 1905 New River Inn is the oldest commercial building in Broward County. Located on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Inn offers indoor and outdoor areas for events. The Lucy Bryan Dining room features a full IT package for corporate meetings and seminars. The space is ideal for showers, association socials, business conferences, pop ups and networking events. Outside catering permitted with license.  Valet service options available for a fee.

Venue rental includes Free:

  • Full use of New River Inn and property
  • Standard lighting and electrical needs
  • 8 of 48” round table
  • 5 of 60” round tables
  • 2 of 5’ rectangular tables                    
  • 16 of High-top tables
  • 50 brown folding chairs                 


All rentals include the use of the 1905 New River Inn’s 

  • Lucy Bryan Room – accommodates 50 seated 100 standing guests
  • Parlor – private use 
  • Media Room – accommodates 35 seated guests (with piano)
  • 1st Floor Veranda           

Complimentary setup time permitted one hour prior to event at no additional fee.


Optional add-ons:

Museum tours available for a fee based on duration and group size. Message the venue host for details and fee schedule.

Cancellation & Fees


Renter may cancel and receive a refund less the Muuchit cancellation fee. Non-refundable for cancellations 5 days or less prior to event date.

If cancelled, a Muuchit cancellation fee will apply, and applicable Provider cancellation fee will be charged. See FAQs for cancellation fee details.

This Provider collects a refundable security deposit of $500.00 directly from the renter to confirm date.

Cooking is permitted in outdoor space only. No open flames of any kind inside the building. Alcohol may be served by licensed and insured vendor. All food and beverage must be removed and all garbage bags dispensed in dumpster after event.
